Do you think you have what it takes to be a Spartan? Are you a dedicated, intense badass? If so we may want to see you on our lines. Below are the requirments for being a Spartan, they are not to be taken lightly. Remember, Sparta is not for everyone. Only those who show true dedication and spirit will find themselves fighting with one of the most professional units in Dagorhir.
The first step in any Spartans career is his or her initiation in the agoge. While you're there, you will begin to learn how to live by our ideals, coordinate with us in unit based fights, and hone your skills and mindset to become a stone cold killer.
Just because you're ready and willing, doesn't mean we think you are. We have some minimum requirments that you must meet before you are accepted. Remember, this is more of an education, not a fat camp.
- Able to do a minimum of 20 push-ups, in full Spartan armor.
- Able to jog one mile at a brisk pace.
- Willing to learn and follow orders.
- Member of Angaron for 6 months
During your time in the agoge, you will be required to wear a white/light tan cloak instead of a red cloak like your Spartan teachers. Once we feel you are ready to become a brother, we will decide upon a trial for you to complete. Since each member is different, agoge members graduate at different rates. You can be there from a few months, to a year or more. It all depends on how willing you are to improve yourself.
Once you complete the agoge training, your journey with sparta has just begun! Before you complete your trial and become a full brother, you are expected to have the following skills and equipment.
- Full Spartan armor set. Torso, Arms, and Legs. (Helm will come when materials are available).
- Aspis, Xyphos, and two Javalins.
- Earth tone skirt, Spartan cloak and tunic.
As you near the end of your training, we will be looking for the following characteristics in our future Spartans.
- Strong battlefield awareness.
- Ability to understand and follow all Spartan tactics/orders to the letter.
- Strong within a group as well as alone.
- Ability to improvise when needed.
- Fearlessness
If you feel you have what it takes, then we want to hear from you! Swing by our message boards and drop us a line!
